Above the Okanagan lakeshore are over 10,000 hectares of rugged landscape with mountain lakes, grasslands and spruce-fir forests accessible only on foot, horseback or bicycle. Trails and rustic campsites are the only facilities in this area of the wilderness. A wonderful setting for hikers and a boater’s paradise. Important Notice!

  • Divide Lake Trail South is closed permanently. Please use Fredrick Creek Trail instead.
  • At this time, not all fire damaged signage has yet been replaced so please be cautious while walking and hiking. Please have a trail map with you at all times.
  • The marine campsites are open to the public.

Park Opening / Closing Dates (park gates open):

  • Okanagan Mountain Marine - June 30 - September 6, 2010
  • Okanagan Mountain Trails - May 14 - Open year round

Park Features:

  • Park Size: 11,038 hectares
  • Total # Campsites: 48 walk-in and 7 boat sites
  • Reservations Accepted: No
  • First Come First Serve Sites: Yes
  • Campsite Description: Rustic. Approx. 50 tent sites available in total with several small being located at each marine site)
  • Pit Toilets: Yes
  • Drinking Water: No
  • Day Use Area: The park is popular amongst Kelowna residents for day-hikes and mountain biking.
  • Campfires Permitted: Yes, unless fire ban in effect (see Important Notices)
  • Firewood Available: Yes, may be purchased at Okanagan Lake Provincial Park for $6.00 per portion.
  • Wheel Chair Accessible: No
  • Pets Allowed: Yes, on a leash at all times
  • Hiking Trails: Yes, obey posted signs and keep to designated trails. Shortcutting trails destroys plant life and sole structure.
  • Boat Launch: Okanagan Lake Provincial Park (Summerland)
  • Biking: Yes (Dirt Bikes/ATV’s not permitted), carry a tire patch kit and pump, bring plenty of water and stay on designated trails
  • Payphone: No
  • Check-Out Time: 11 am
  • Check-in Procedure: Locate & occupy unoccupied campsite. Park Attendant will come around to register guests
  • On Site Security: Not full time

Camping Fees:

  •  $10.00 per party or vessel per night for Marine campsite and Backcountry Camping

First come first serve Camping Fees MUST pay with CASH and/or Traveller’s Cheques. Debit & Credit Cards and Personal Cheques are NOT accepted.
